Title: Positive Behaviour for Learning. What Can We Learn from Australian Implementation?

Education more and more is leaning away from negative reinforcement and punishment in school and home, how can we control and scaffold behaviour in a more positive environment. Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) was a implemented in Australia developed out of the US, Positive Behaviour Interventions and Supports model. Learn about the practical way PBL has been applied in NSW(AUSTRALIA) schools over the last 10years, the good, the bad and the in between. This workshop has been developed for educators and parents to develop ideas on how PBL could be effective in a Vietnamese classroom/home environment.
Jennifer Eaton is a Community Project Officer for ASPIRE, UNSW. ASPIRE is an award-winning outreach program working in communities where the number of students who go on to university is low. Jennifer started her career as a high school art teacher, with teaching experience in both UK and Australia. Jennifer then moved to GERRIC(Gifted Education Research Resource and Information Centre) co-ordinating a range of programs for teachers, parents and students. Prior to starting with ASPIRE Jennifer implemented and managed a range of professional learning courses for teachers maintaining their NESA(NSW Education Standards Authority) teaching accreditation with the School of Education, UNSW. Jennifer holds a BA Art Education, UNSW and a MA Educational Leadership and Management from the University of Sydney, she is currently a Master of Research candidate with Australia Catholic University.
